All babies born in Thimphu, especially at Jigme Dorji Wangchuck Referral Hospital, are cared for by the local deity Domtsangpa, who resides at Changangkha Monastery. He is your Birth deity (Keylha), and it is your duty to offer daily Serkyem to him to get his protection. Since my kids were also born at JDWNRH, and my elder daughter Sonam Choden's birthday is tomorrow, I have translated this libation prayer so that she can comprehend it and connect with her birth deity. Like her, all those born in Thimphu will easily understand and connect with the Changangkha deity. May they all get the protection.
༄། །དགེ་བསྙེན་ཆེན་པོ་དོམ་ཚང་པའི་གསོལ་ཁ་བསྡུས་པ་བཞུགས་སོ། །
A condensed petition offering to Geney (great pursuer of virtue) Domtsangpa.
རྟ་མཆོག་རོལ་པ་འབྲུག་སྒོམ་ཞིག་པོ་ཡི། །
The illustrious manifestation of the Supreme Steed, Hayagriva, as revered by Phajo Drugom,
བཀའ་སྡོད་དབྱར་རྔའི་བསྟན་པའི་བྱ་ར་བ། །
Dwell within the decree of the Summer Drum, unveiling the vigilant observer,
དགྲ་ལྷའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལྷ་ཆེན་དོམ་ཚང་པ། །
The great local deity Domtsangpa, the sovereign ruler of the divine realm of war,
འཁོར་བཅས་གནས་འདིར་སྤྱན་འདྲེན་གཤེགས་སུ་གསོལ། །
Affectionately invited to approach this abode accompanied by your retinue.
འདི་ནང་སྔགས་རྒྱ་ཏིང་འཛིན་སྤྲིན་ཕུང་ལས། །
Within the ethereal cloud banks lie the vast inner mantras of meditative stabilization,
ཡོངས་བསྐྲུན་རྒྱ་ཇ་གསེར་སྐྱེམས་མཚོ་ལྟར་བསྐྱིལ། །
A boundless expanse of golden tea, akin to a serene lake, is entirely crafted and ready to be savored,
སྣ་ཚོགས་ཞལ་ས་ཚོགས་དང་གཏོར་མ་སོགས། །
An array of festive gatherings and tormas displayed before you,
གང་འདོད་ནམ་མཁའི་མཛོད་དུ་སྤྲུལ་ཏེ་འབུལ། །
The emanating sky treasury bestows whatever one desires,
འདི་བཞེས་རྒྱལ་བའི་བསྟན་པ་རིན་པོ་ཆེར།།
Accept this, along with the precious teachings of the Buddha.
སྲུང་སྐྱོབ་མལ་ཚེ་མཛད་དང་ཆབས་ཅིག་པར། །
Defend to prolong life while simultaneously embracing sacred imagery,
རྣལ་འབྱོར་བདག་ཅག་ཡིད་ལ་བརྣག་པའི་དོན། །
To cultivate the truth within the mind of a Yogin,
མ་ལུས་མྱུར་དུ་སྒྲུབ་པའི་མཐུན་འགྱུར་མཛོད། །
Attain Treasury's harmonious transformation swiftly and without exception.
ཕུན་ཚོགས་ངོ་མཚར་གྲུབ་པའི་གནས་མཆོག་འདིར། །
In this exalted abode of achievement, grace, glory, and prosperity abound,
པདྨའི་བཀའ་ཉན་དགེ་བསྙེན་དོམ་ཚང་པ། །
Domtsangpa, the devoted Upasaka and Dharma protector of Guru Rinpoche,
ཡུལ་འདིའི་ལྷ་ཀླུ་གཞི་བདག་འཁོར་བཅས་ལ། །
And to all the divine beings, nagas, and local deities residing in this sacred realm,
གསེར་སྐྱེམས་འབུལ་ལོ་བཅོལ་པའི་འཕྲིན་ལས་མཛོད།
Receive this immaculate golden elixir and fulfill all our fervent aspirations.
