“Constantly focusing the light ofthe mind,
Bright and subtle, like the tip of a flame,
All phenomena, static and kinetic,
Melt into their inner space, the dharmadhatu”.
All phenomena, static and kinetic,
Melt into their inner space, the dharmadhatu”.
Jogipa was an outcaste candala of Odantapuri. He had great energy but little insight. The Guru Savaripa granted him the initiation and empowerment of Hevajra and instructed him in creative
and fulfillment meditation. But when Jogipa attempted to meditate he found that he had not understood his Guru's instruction, and returning to Savaripa he asked him for devotional exercises of body and speech instead.
His Guru told him to recite the mantra of Vajra Heruka while making pilgrimage to the twenty-four sacred power spots. Jogipa did as his Guru instructed, and after twelve years of pilgrimage the defilements of his mind had been eradicated, and he gained mahamudra-siddhi. After expressing his realization he worked for others for five hundred years, using many different skillful means, before rising bodily into the Dakini's Paradise.
