This saying by Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, serves as a profound reminder of the transient nature of human life and the tendency of the mind to be distracted by worldly desires.
1. The Primordial Buddha Within: The statement begins by acknowledging that the mind itself is the primordial Buddha, the source of ultimate wisdom and enlightenment. However, due to the power of desire, this pure mind becomes distracted, seeking fulfillment outside of itself. This search leads it into samsara—the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, which is characterized by suffering and delusion.
2. Wandering in Samsara: Padmasambhava asks whether the mind recognizes that it is aimlessly wandering in samsara, caught in the endless pursuit of fleeting pleasures and material gains. This wandering keeps beings trapped in the cycle of suffering, preventing them from realizing their true nature and attaining liberation.
3. The Precious Human Body: Having a human body is considered extremely rare and valuable in Buddhism because it offers the unique opportunity to practice Dharma and attain enlightenment. However, Padmasambhava points out that instead of using this opportunity wisely, people often become engrossed in mundane activities and distractions, forgetting the spiritual purpose of life.
4. Life is Running Out: The statement also serves as a reminder of the impermanence of life. Time is constantly passing, and with each moment, life is running out. The precious opportunity to practice Dharma is slipping away, yet many remain unaware, continuing to be swept up in worldly concerns.
In nutshell, Guru Rinpoche’s words urge us to wake up from the distractions of desire and worldly concerns, to recognize the impermanence of life, and to focus on the true purpose of human existence—realizing the mind's inherent Buddha nature and breaking free from the cycle of samsara.

The Dhฤraแน‡ฤซ of Amitฤyus is a powerful practice focusing on Amitฤyus, the Buddha of Infinite Life, who embodies the qualities of boundless vitality, wisdom, and compassion. This dhฤraแน‡ฤซ, a type of sacred mantra or chant, is said to be derived directly from the words of the Buddha and serves as a means of invoking the blessings of Amitฤyus for long life, protection from untimely death, and the purification of negative karma.
In the prayer, Amitฤyus is praised as the foremost guide for beings in the world, whose glory and power can overcome all untimely death and suffering. Practitioners recite this dhฤraแน‡ฤซ to pay homage to Amitฤyus, seeking his protection and the accumulation of positive merit, which is believed to contribute to longevity, spiritual growth, and ultimately, the attainment of enlightenment.
The prayer also highlights the importance of the six perfections (generosity, discipline, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom), which are essential qualities on the path to Buddhahood. Each perfection is described as a strength realized by the Buddha, whose qualities resonate throughout the citadel of compassion, symbolizing the enlightened state.
Reciting the Dhฤraแน‡ฤซ of Amitฤyus is a profound way to connect with the energy of Amitฤyus, bringing the blessings of long life, health, and spiritual vitality into one's life, while also supporting the well-being of all sentient beings.

Keep reciting.

I feel “Modern digitalization” has eroded the abundance of free time once available. People of all ages have become deeply tied to the internet, making it challenging to dedicate time to reciting long sutras.
Foreseeing this degenerate era, many concise prayers were composed, carrying the same blessings and effectiveness as longer ones. One such prayer is the “Concise Barchรฉ Lamsel”.
While it is beneficial to recite the longer version, if time is limited, at least reciting the concise version is recommended.

An Extremely Concise Sampa Lhundrup by Tertรถn Rangrik Dorje is a prayer invoking Tรถtreng Tsal, the essence of all enlightened beings, to protect and bless the practitioner. It seeks to remove obstacles such as illness and harm, while requesting the spontaneous fulfillment of wishes. The prayer concludes with the powerful Vajra Guru mantra, calling upon the blessings of Guru Padmasambhava for swift success.

Recently, two sacred Kilyas (Phurbas) were crafted from a unique blend of sacred iron and precious ferrous materials, meticulously following the instructions outlined in Guru Rinpoche's ancient texts.
The lower portion, which forms the three-edged dagger blade, was meticulously forged from a collection of profoundly significant and revered materials:

- Iron chain crafted by the Great Mahasidha Drupthop Thangtong Gyalpo
- Iron mined by Terton Pema Lingpa, a renowned treasure revealer
- Iron from Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the unifier of Bhutan
- Sky metal (a meteorite from Argentina), originating from a 4.5 billion-year-old asteroid that struck Argentina 5,500 years ago. This meteorite, accompanied by an authentic certificate, was sent by a Facebook friend who requested the crafting of a Phurba and ring for his Rinpoche.
- Earthly metals over 600 years old, including a plowing blade and spade
- Ancient cast iron religious artifacts, some over 500 years old
- Metal ore, comprised of six types of metal, mined from a depth of 7 km in the Indian Ocean, obtained from the National Metallurgy Laboratory in Orissa, India
- A sword used during the Bhutan-Tibetan war, believed to have claimed the lives of 30 people during the era of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal
- A dagger that killed both a knight and his horse in battle
- Very old door hinges and latches from monasteries across the country
- Mani wheel hinges from Simtokha Dzong, crafted by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel.

Along with other metals such as copper, brass, silver, aluminum, bronze, stainless steel, and various ferroalloys, these sacred materials were melted together in a 5 kg Inductotherm Induction furnace.
The molten mixture was then cast into a round shape, heated, and rolled into a square bar at a rolling mill. From this bar, the sacred Phurba blade was expertly shaped.
The top portion, readymade small a Phurba and Dorje Kilya was procured and welded onto the lower section, completing this extraordinary Kilya, imbued with immense spiritual significance. Many of these sacred materials were obtained from the Je Gedun Rinchen Tshopa and other friends.

Blessing to all.
