On 20 October 2019, undoubtedly an auspicious day both the Karmpa H.H. the 17th Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje and H.H. the 17th Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje jointly wrote long life prayer for Kunzig Shamarpa Rinpoche’s reincarnation .
This is indeed great good news of the century that will unite Karma Kamtsang and immensely benefits all sentient beings.

And ultimately merge my mind with theirs as one.

Like a swiftly approaching sunrise, the reincarnation of the all-knowing holder of the Red Crown, Mipham Chökyi Lodrö, is soon to appear.
With the fervent aspiration that he may live long, that his activity may flourish, and that by the power of this, the teachings of the Practice Lineage of the Karma Kamtsang may be united, the two of us, known as Ogyen Trinley and Thaye Dorje, have written this prayer together.
We have concluded it with the true words of Gyalwang Mikyö Dorje adorning it as the final stanza. May this work aid in spreading the teachings and bringing happiness to beings, and may the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas make it so.

Birth of Trulku
Upon the aspirations of Karmapa’s father, His Eminence Mipham Rinpoche and following the precious footprints of Khakyab Dorje, His Holiness the 15th Karmapa, who was also married and a Tertön, Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje proposed to Rinchen Yangzom on 19th January 2017. The marriage took place on 25th March 2017, in the presence of close family members.

His holiness made aspiration that his karmic connection with his wife, Rinchen Yangzom, will further strengthen the Karma Kagyu lineage and the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.
Rinchen Yangzom, a Tibetan name meaning ‘Precious Prosperity Gathered,’ was born in Thimphu, Bhutan. Her parents are Mr Chencho and Mrs Kunzang. Mr Chencho is from Shaba, Drugyeldingkha, Paro, in Western Bhutan. He is a businessman. Mrs Kunzang is from Choeten Nyingpo, Chumey, Bumthang, in Central Bhutan, the Densa of Yab Tenpai Nyima. She is a homemaker. Rinchen Yangzom is the third of Mr Chencho’s and Mrs Kunzang’s ten children.
Rinchen Yangzom started her early education in Thimphu, Bhutan. Her middle and higher education took place in India, and she continued her undergraduate studies in Europe.
His Holiness the Karmapa and his wife Sangyumla Rinchen Yangzom, announced the birth of their first child, a boy, on the new moon of 11th August 2018, in France.
His Eminence Luding Khenchen Rinpoche, the 75th head of the Ngor tradition of the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism, presided over the hair-cutting ceremony of Thugsey, the son of Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, and Sangyumla Rinchen Yangzom, at the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute (KIBI) on 11 January 2019.
We will wait for the official announcement of Yangste trulku of the 14th Kunzig Sharmapa Rinpoche from His Holiness the 17th Karmapas. Till then let us recite Trulku's long life prayer.
