ཁ་སང་དུང་དཀར་རྫོང་དུ་བསྐྱོད།
Yesterday, I walked into Dungkar Dzong,
ཨེ་ཤེ་ཡ་ཚོགས་ཆེན་འགྲུབ་པར་ཕྱིན།
to attend the 41st Asian Banker gathering.
དངུལ་འབྲེལ་གསར་བཅོས་གསན་པ་དང་།
While I gained insight into finance and change,
བློ་ཡིས་རྡོ་བརྐོས་ལྟ་བུར་འཁྱུད།
my heart was captured by a vision in stone.
སྤ་རོ་པཱན་སྦིས་ས་་ནས་བཞེངས།
In Pangbisa, Paro, it rises serene—
གྱང་ལས་ལྷག་པའི་གཞི་ཁྱད་ཅན།
more than walls, more than courtyards.
སྲོལ་རྒྱུན་གསོན་པོའི་སྒྱུ་རྩལ་ལྟེ།
A living masterpiece, a vibrant heart,
བགྲོ་གླེང་བཞད་པའི་གནས་མཆོག་དེར།
where dialogue blossoms,
བསམ་བློ་འཕུར་བའི་རྨང་གཞི་ཡིན།
where minds connect and ideas take flight.
མི་དབང་མངའ་བསྒྱུར་མཛད་པ་ལས།
Born of the visionary leadership of His Majesty The King,
དེང་རབས་སྲོལ་རྒྱུན་ཟུང་འབྲེལ་བྱས།
this majestic Dzong unites heritage and modernity,
ལག་རྩལ་རྒྱུན་འཛིན་གསར་གཏོད་དང་།
weaving timeless craftsmanship with innovation—
འཛམ་གླིང་ལ་འབྲེལ་འདུ་འཛོམས་བྱེད།
a space where Bhutan greets the world,
རང་གཤིས་ནམ་ཡང་མི་འདོར་བ།
yet never lets go of its soul.
རྒྱལ་ཁབ་ནང་གི་རྫོང་ཆེན་དེ།
The largest Dzong in the kingdom,
འདིའི་ནང་དུ་འབྲུག་རྒྱལ་པོའི་སློབ་གྲྭ་གནས།
it houses the Druk Gyalpo’s Institute,
ཤེས་བྱ་རིག་པའི་གནས་མཆོག་དེར།
a sanctuary of knowledge and growth,
ཐོག་མའི་བགྲོ་གླེང་འཕེལ་འབྲིང་དང་།
where the wisdom of the past
མ་འོངས་འཚོལ་བའི་སྒོ་མོ་ཡོད།
meets the promise of tomorrow.
དུང་དཀར་རྫོང་ནི་མི་དབང་གི།
Dungkar Dzong is His Majesty’s legacy—
སྲིད་པའི་རྟེན་འབྲེལ་སྒྲུབ་པའི་གཞི།
a beacon of resilience and progress,
སྲོལ་རྒྱུན་རིན་ཐང་སྲུང་སྐྱོང་བྱེད།
safeguarding traditions, values, and identity.
འབྲུག་ཡུལ་ལོ་རྒྱུས་རྨང་གཞི་དེ།
A cornerstone of Bhutan’s story,
མི་རབས་ཕྲེང་བར་སྒྲོན་མེ་ཡིན།
a light for generations to come.
དེའི་སྒོ་འོག་ལྷགས་པའི་དུས་སུ།
And as I stood beneath its towering grace,
ང་རང་དད་པས་དགའ་བས་ཁེངས།
I felt humbled, inspired, and proud—

for within Dungkar Dzong,
ང་བཅས་འབྲུག་ཡུལ་མཛེས་སྡུག་འཕྲོད།
