མཆོད་པའི་ལྷ་མོ་བཅུ་དྲུག
I am sure many of
you must have visited the Buddha Dordenma at Kuenselphodrang in Thimphu.
Surrounding the
magnificent Buddha you must have also noticed many offering goddess, each
offering particular type of offering. Well
these are the Sixteen Offering Goddesses. Each goddess presents a variety of
pleasing and attractive qualities. These goddesses are included in the retinues
of many Buddhist deities and find a special mention.
The following are
the names of 16 goddesses:
They are female
bodhisattvas. They are their constantly offering 16 types of offering to Lord
Buddha.
Recite the
following Mantra of each goddess at the site. It is believed that the effort
will help in multiplying the benefits. In fact you are requesting the goddess
to offer on your behalf.
